Erica Rodarte grew up in the El Paso-Ciudad Juarez border region, where she attended the University of Texas at El Paso. After working locally for a political campaign and a public housing authority, she attended Penn Law. At Penn, Erica had the great opportunity to serve immigrant communities through immigration and housing pro bono projects. She also interned for government and nonprofit organizations, exploring the impact of civil rights work in areas of prisoner violence and inadequate education. As a Legal Fellow for the ACLU of Idaho, she will further pursue her goal of serving and advocating for immigrant communities' civil rights. In the coming year, she hopes to continue her summer ritual of morning hikes with her dog.
