Legislators passed Senate Bill 1404a which banned the selling of fetal tissue in Idaho – even though at the time the legislation was introduced, no organization or medical facility was selling fetal tissue in Idaho. This legislation also banned the donation of fetal tissue for research throughout the state, terminating opportunities for medical advancement (that in the past has led to vaccines for polio and other modern medical break-throughs) from occurring in Idaho.
