SOMOS 2026 Recruiting Latine Leaders

About SOMOS

SOMOS is a leadership and narrative-change program under the ACLU of Idaho designed to support Idaho’s Latine and immigrant communities in confronting anti-immigrant rhetoric. Participants build a foundation in systems of power, storytelling strategy, and community leadership.

As we advance with SOMOS, we are looking to expand our leadership group to apply these skills through community-driven projects that challenge harmful narratives and strengthen local resilience.

Latine participants will complete workshops to build on their inherent power to break down the systems of oppression being used to target immigrant communities. This series of seven workshops begin on May 21, 2026, and conclude on July 10, 2026. Graduates will receive a certificate of completion. The workshops will be held in the evenings. Food and snacks will be provided.

Allies of this movement will also attend workshops shortly after the Latine participants, to collaborate on story amplification and public education to help us shift Idaho’s broader conversation on immigration. Allies program will be from June through August 2026.

Application information for allies coming soon.
