From Refugee to Idahoan: When People at Risk Come to Idaho

Join the Moscow League of Women Voters and the American Civil Liberties Union of Idaho as we discuss one of the most important issues in current affairs.

The panel discussion will cover the conditions that help to “create” refugees in source countries, the processes in those countries, and in the U.S. that refugees go through to come to the U.S. and to Idaho, and the supports to refugees in Idaho, and the challenges that those refugees face here currently.

Panel members include Dr. Bill Smith, Chair, Martin Institute and International Studies Program, University of Idaho; Dr. Florian Justwan, Assistant Professor  of Political Science, University of Idaho; and Dr. Kristin Haltinner, Assistant Professor of Sociology, University of Idaho

The conversation will take place from 6:00-7:30 PM at the 1912 Center, Great Room, 412 East 3rd Street, Moscow, ID.
