SB 110 is anti-trans legislation that would ensure public schools maintain separate restroom, lockers rooms, showers, and overnight accommodations according to biological sex.

It also includes guidance for schools on how to address gender identity and sexual orientation in these spaces and reasonable accommodations in certain instances.

This bill systematically singles out and attacks our transgender youth and is a violation of Title IX and the U.S. Constitution. Schools should be safe and welcoming learning environments for all students, regardless of gender identity. The politicians behind these attacks seek to violate our foundational trust in schools maintain an environment conducive to learning by instead forcing schools to create a stigmatizing and discriminatory environment by expelling transgender students from common spaces.
