Planned Parenthood and Idaho physicians have filed a lawsuit to stop Attorney General Labrador’s ban on out-of-state referrals.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Idaho sent a letter to Nampa School District Superintendent Gregg Russell and the Board of Trustees for the Nampa School District demanding that the district produce the records it excluded when it responded to the ACLU’s July 6 public records request.

A report from University of Michigan Law School professor J.J. Prescott finds Idaho’s sex offender registration and notification (SORN) laws “do not serve their purpose of lowering the risk of recidivism, reducing the number of total sex offenses or making communities safer.”

Federal district court Judge Nye ruled that a transgender athlete’s lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Idaho’s law—HB 500—is not moot, meaning the case may proceed while the law remains blocked.
