A project created to amplify the voices of our Idahoan immigrant community.
Los Caminos de la Vida is an artivism (activism + art) project by the ACLU of Idaho’s SOMOS program, an initiative to challenge misinformation and harmful narratives about immigrants and Latines in Idaho through storytelling.
This project aims to educate non-immigrants about the challenges many immigrant families face because of a system that has failed them by sharing their stories and lived experiences to counter pervasive negative portrayals about them.
If you are interested in learning more about the project, please check out our FAQ page.
Please CHOOSE ONLY ONE the following questions to answer and record your audio response:
Prompt Option 1: What is the reason/motive that inspired you and/or your family to immigrate to the U.S., specifically to Idaho?
Prompt Option 2: What do you wish non-immigrants understood about the immigration process?
Prompt Option 3: What was your experience navigating the U.S. immigration system? What obstacles such as cost, paperwork preparation, language barriers or legal requirements did you encounter?
