An extreme attempt to restrict youth’s protected rights to expression that would prohibit “secretive” social transitioning. It would force trusted adults like teachers and counselors to out children, even to unsupportive parents, or face steep legal penalties, including a minimum of $50,000 in damages.

The bill’s excessively broad definition of “social transition” includes changes in someone's name, pronouns, appearance, or mannerisms, which could result in invasive policing of youths’ self-expression.
