About SOMOS Aliados

SOMOS is a leadership and narrative-change program under the ACLU of Idaho designed to support Idaho’s Latine and immigrant communities in confronting anti-immigrant rhetoric. Participants build a foundation in systems of power, storytelling strategy, and community leadership.

As we advance with SOMOS, we are launching our Aliados (Allies) program. Aliados will learn and apply new skills through community-driven projects that challenge harmful narratives and strengthen local resilience. The Aliados group will work alongside the SOMOS Latine cohort as long-term partners in narrative change and community organizing, building sustained relationships rooted in solidarity and shared action. Together, participants will support efforts that uplift immigrant and Latine voices.

SOMOS Aliados participants will complete six workshops designed to strengthen solidarity with the immigrant community and equip them with skills to challenge harmful narratives through storytelling and de-centered allyship. We are looking for community members who are committed to showing up in meaningful, accountable, and action-oriented ways alongside immigrant communities in Idaho. The workshops will start on June 11, 2026, and conclude on August 7, 2026. Graduates will receive a certificate of completion. The workshops will be held in the evenings. Food and snacks will be provided.

Applications are now open.

DEADLINE TO APPLY IS FRIDAY, JUNE 5TH!
